On 10 July 2024, the Director of the Romano-Germanic Commission (RGK) of the German Archaeological Institute (DAI), Dr. Kerstin P. Hofmann, M. A., in the presence of the Deputy Director PD Dr. Lukas Werther and Prof. Jiří Macháček, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between this leading German scientific institution and the Department of Archaeology and Museology of Masaryk University, which is the coordinator of the RES-HUM project. According to the text of the Memorandum, the scientific team of RES-HUM and RGK is to cooperate on research activities, organize training and exchange of their staff, or exchange publications, reports and other academic information. On this occasion, Prof. Jiří Macháček gave a ceremonial lecture at the RGK DAI entitled “Entstehung einer frühmittelalterlichen multikulturellen Gesellschaft im mährischen Kontaktraum“ (Emergence of an early medieval multicultural society in the Moravian contact area). As part of the newly established cooperation, RGK DAI has donated a large number of professional publications to the staff of the Department of Archaeology and Museology of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, who are involved in the RES-HUM project.
