The Third Meeting of the Project Expert Team

24 Apr 2025

On April 24, 2025, a full-day meeting of all members of the expert team of the RES-HUM project took place. The third meeting was held in an unconventional spirit and provided space for intensive exchange of views and planning of further cooperation among the individual research work packages of the project.

The opening remarks and introduction of the programme were delivered by the research project manager, Jiří Macháček. The morning session was dedicated to a moderated panel discussion on the topic of resilience, led by Ivan Foletti with the participation of representatives from all research work packages. The discussion brought inspiring perspectives on key questions concerning the resilience of human society from a historical perspective.

The afternoon programme was divided into two parts. Independently, individual research teams presented their activities, which opened up opportunities for establishing new collaborations across disciplines. The subsequent workshop focused on proposing joint topics for future articles and project publications, with the aim of further deepening interdisciplinary dialogue and supporting excellent research in the field of human cultural resilience.

The meeting confirmed that open communication and the sharing of experience are key to fulfilling the goals of the RES-HUM project and to finding new ways to understand the long-term resilience of human society.
